We've raised $15,985 -- Help us with our goal of $30,000!

Double your impact!

Help Bike Utah unlock $15,000 for our Safe Routes to School planning program.

A generous donor has pledged $15,000 to support our planning programs, but we need your help to match it!

Every dollar you give will be doubled, providing twice the impact and helping us raise $30,000 to ensure Utah’s kids can safely bike and walk to school.

Our Safe Routes to Schools planning program engages schools and key stakeholders, evaluates current challenges and safety hazards, and presents opportunities to advocate for improved infrastructure around schools—creating healthier, safer, and more active communities for our children.

With your support, we can:

  • Engage and educate more schools on improved Safe Routes to School plans

  • Promote safe biking and walking routes for children

  • Advocate for safer, bike-friendly infrastructure around schools

How you can help:

Donate today and your contribution will go twice as far! Every dollar you give will be matched dollar-for-dollar, helping us reach our $15,000 goal. Together, we can ensure a safer future for Utah’s children—one school route at a time.

Current Safe Routes to School planning efforts

  • A brick school building with a sidewalk leading to the entrance, surrounded by green grass and trees. There is a sign on the building that reads 'Community Ed. Partnership of WVC'.

    Hunter Elementary

We provided the new principal with a document highlighting safety and accessibility concerns. The recommendations focus on safer routes that avoid high-risk streets, prioritize a separated canal path, and use the school's rear entrance to avoid the chaotic front drop-off and pick-up area.

  • Front view of Provo Peak Elementary School building with brick exterior, steps leading to glass doors, and a blue sky.

    Provo Peaks Elementary

We are finalizing their safety assessment, which includes community input, route analysis, and infrastructure recommendations based on thorough analysis and ground truthing.

  • Exterior view of Rose Park Elementary School with brick building, trees, and landscaped bushes in front.

    Rose Park Elementary

We are developing a comprehensive safety assessment that will help prioritize infrastructure improvements. We're working closely with the community and stakeholders to ensure the plan reflects their needs, while also collaborating with the city to drive impactful changes.

  • Exterior view of Manti Elementary School with a brick wall, black sign spelling 'Manti Elementary School,' and shrubbery in the foreground.

    Manti Elementary

We are conducting a safety assessment through engagement with community stakeholders and state agencies. Our analysis and on-the-ground findings will guide necessary infrastructure improvements to ensure children can safely walk and bike to school.
