Level Pedals Engages Utah communities to hear about their cycling experiences and together advocate for change.

Utah’s geographically and demographically diverse landscape can’t be met with a one-size-fits-all approach for cyclists and their needs. That’s why we launched Level Pedals in 2022 to pursue more equitable cycling opportunities and experiences for people of all backgrounds and abilities. To better serve and include these communities in our work, we’ll be shifting more attention in our existing programs towards equitable approaches as well as co-creating new projects informed through the voices and involvement of representatives from communities such as:

Families & Youths

Adaptive Cyclists

Rural Communities

Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC)

Seniors & Retirees

Underserved & Underrepresented Communities

Level Pedals for Utah

Our Level Pedals for Utah Tour began in 2022. Our goals are to:

  • Ride throughout Utah to engage with as many residents of all backgrounds and abilities;

  • Hold conversations during these community rides to better understand what type of cycling support is needed;

  • And in response to these expressed needs, connect resources, groups, and agencies in the formation of new projects to drive change.
